Fall 2015

December 09, 2015 by rohit ghosh

It has been a long time since I have updated this blog. At one point, I just wanted to take a step back and just shoot, but not share.

So here is a quick catch up on the new quarter. New apartment, and sophomore year of college. It's been a better year already and a lot of new things lined up for me going forward.

A Few Tombs and Forts - Dehli & Agra

September 08, 2015 by rohit ghosh

I have toured the monuments of India multiple times but the last time I did it, I wasn't into photography, so here is my first go at clicking them.

The best part about old Indian architecture is that the Mughals, who made these beautiful forts and tombs, shared my love for perfect symmetry.

Places shown in order:

  • The Taj Mahal, I'm sure you can tell which one it is
  • A mosque next to the Taj
  • Humayun's Tomb
  • Rashtrapati Bhavan, the presidential palace
  • The Indian flag at Connaught Place
  • Lotus Temple

Kamla Nagar - DU North Campus

August 31, 2015 by rohit ghosh

It had been a while I went to DU. Love north campus, it's one of the best places to shoot street in Delhi. This was just one of the multiple adventures Siddhant and I go on. Behind the scenes were my friends Siddhant and Mansi.

What's different about these pictures are that I finally started using VSCO film on my work. What it did for me was either give a really nice tried and tested film look which look great on street pictures, or inspire me and give me ideas to mess with colors. Even if someone doesn't believe in presets, VSCO film can help give them a direction to take the edit in. What a neat tool.

Now just because I said I started using VSCO film doesn't mean that all the pictures in this set are done with presets. 4 of the 7 shown are edited with VSCO film (don't really remember the exact packs I used).

The cat btw is one that lives near my car.
